MINSK, 1 November (BelTA) – Belarus and Armenia can considerably ramp up bilateral trade, Armenian President Armen Sarkissian has told reporters, BelTA has learned.
“We have great potential in many areas. Bilateral trade can expand manifold,” Armen Sarkissian said.
The Armenian president noted that the agenda of his recent meeting with the Belarusian leader covered a broad range of bilateral contacts, including economic matters. “We have made great progress in these matters, in trade,” he said.
Armen Sarkissian added that his trip to Belarus envisaged the search for new cooperation opportunities, for example, in digital technology and biotechnology.
Armen Sarkissian took part in the Munich Security Conference Core Group Meeting that is taking place in Minsk on 30 October-1 November.
