MINSK, 11 February (BelTA) – All the parties to the conflict in Ukraine view the Minsk talks as the only way out of the situation, OSCE special representative in the trilateral contact group on Ukraine Martin Sajdik said at the international conference “One Year of Minsk-II Accords: Achievements, Challenges, Lessons Learned” on 11 February, BelTA informs.
“The Minsk process works and all the parties consider it as the only way to resolve the conflict,” said Martin Sajdik.
According to the OSCE representative, there is no worthy alternative to Minsk. However, despite the fact that the parties undertook a series of commitments a year ago, the conflict in Ukraine has not been settled yet.
At the same time Martin Sajdik praised the improved security in the region and noted that large-scale armed operations had ended. The undertaken measures have saved many lives.
