MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – Bryansk Oblast for Belarus is one of the main regions in the trade and economic cooperation, Belarus’ Vice Premier Mikhail Rusy said in a meeting with a delegation from Bryansk Oblast led by Bryansk Oblast Acting Governor Alexander Bogomaz on 21 May, BelTA has learned.
“I am glad we have good relations in the economic area. Bryansk Oblast for us is one of the key regions in the trade and economic cooperation, the development of humanitarian and cultural relations. It is one of the regions with which cooperation is highly developed. It is not only trade but also integration ties and mutual investment. In this respect we have made a huge step forward,” he noted.
The Vice Premier emphasized cooperation in construction, agriculture, and mechanical engineering. In his words, in some areas there is still a lot of work to do and progress there will take the bilateral trade onto a higher level. Mikhail Rusy also added that on the government’s behalf he would attend the annual Gomel Economic Forum on 22 May and expects the signing of a number of contracts to boost bilateral relations.
According to Mikhail Rusy, Belarus and Bryansk Oblast need to use each other as platforms for mutual promotion of products to other markets, including taking into account the Eurasian Economic Union.
