MOSCOW, 2 June (BelTA) – Belarusian citizens are more satisfied with social services than Russian citizens. The opinion was voiced by Igor Chernyshev, Deputy Chairman of the Social Policy Committee of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation’s Federal Assembly, during the press conference held in Moscow on 2 June in anticipation of the forthcoming third Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, BelTA has learned.
The Russian MP noted that the third forum will be more focused on Belarus-Russia cooperation in social affairs. “We view the forum as one of the ways to compare notes, including on social policy,” he said. “It is necessary to look at what the sides have achieved in healthcare, education, youth policy, and tourism. Social reforms in Russia never stop. Meanwhile, the satisfaction of citizens with social services is higher in Belarus than in Russia.”
The third Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia is scheduled to take place in Minsk on 7-8 June. It will be focused on social and humanitarian cooperation in the Union State of Belarus and Russia, on advancing trade and economic ties between regions and bolstering cooperation in the industrial sphere. Panel sessions will be held to discuss nine areas of focus. The third session of the Belarus-Russia interparliamentary commission on interregional cooperation will be held as part of the forum as well.
