Russian Investigative Committee chairman details meeting with Belarusian president

Russian Investigative Committee chairman details meeting with Belarusian president

MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) - Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin revealed the details on the meeting with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Minsk on 12 December, BelTA has learned.

According to Alexander Bastrykin, the meeting focused on the experience gained by the Russian Investigative Committee in two main areas: investigating crimes committed by the Kiev regime and countering crimes committed by migrants. “I shared the experience in those areas in which the Russian Investigative Committee is working. One of the two key areas includes the special military operation. We investigate the criminal actions by the Kiev regime. They commit grave crimes against civilians, children and the elderly. We have created four new departments of the Investigative Committee on this territory. Unfortunately, our investigators get killed too, but we continue to work hard. I told the president about it. The second area involves crimes committed by migrants,” Alexander Bastrykin explained.

He stated that due to the increased number of migrants arriving in Russia, the problem of crimes committed by them “is becoming more and more acute”. “I shared our best practices. Aleksandr Grigoriyevich [Lukashenko] listened attentively,” he noted. Alexander Bastrykin believes that these practices could be useful for Belarus in terms of preventing the growth of such crimes.
