MOGILEV, 12 May (BelTA) – Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev stressed the need to ensure coordination of efforts in the Belarus-Russia Union State and the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) as he attended the meeting of the Union State Council of Ministers on 12 May, BelTA has learned.
“The main thing now is to ensure coordination of our efforts in the Union State and also in the EEU. This refers to a number of issues, including the creation of new opportunities for boosting mutual trade. We noted that this matter requires special attention,” Dmitry Medvedev pointed out.
In his words, it is also necessary to support industrial production in the EEU, bolster investment and innovation cooperation, and develop agriculture. “We should be working to remove the existing trade barriers, which is also relevant for the Union State,” Dmitry Medvedev noted.
