MINSK, 10 October (BelTA) - The Minsk International Medical Forum once again sets development goals for high-tech and specialized medicine in Belarus, Oleg Rummo, member of the Permanent Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic, Director of the Minsk Research and Treatment Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology, as he opened the 3rd Minsk International Medical Forum in the Palace of the Republic, BelTA learned.
“The Minsk International Medical Forum once again sets development goals for high-tech and specialized medicine in our country. It has brought together leading specialists, healthcare organizers not only from the city of Minsk but also from the whole country, and also distinguished foreign guests. Together we will discuss the most topical issues of organizing medical care in a megapolis such as Minsk or Moscow, and the provision of medical care in various cities and districts of Belarus,” said Oleg Rummo.
He emphasized that a significant part of the forum will be devoted to certain issues of medical care and high technologies, which in recent years have become a kind of calling card of domestic medicine. “I believe that the forum will set new development goals for our national healthcare and, most importantly, its results will be useful to our patients,” the director of the center said.
Oleg Rummo also presented the doctors with the highest awards of the National Assembly of Belarus. Thus, Aleksei Shcherba, deputy director for surgery at the Minsk Research and Treatment Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology, and Sergei Aleksandrov, head of the minimally invasive surgery department of the 2nd City Clinical Hospital, received honorary diplomas of the National Assembly for services to the social policy of Belarus.
