Rogal: Belarus’ system of healthcare is highly regarded in post-Soviet countries

MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian system of healthcare is highly regarded in all post-Soviet countries, Head Doctor at Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Care, Doctor of Medicine, Professor Mikhail Rogal told journalists as he took part in the First International Minsk Medical Forum, BelTA has learned.

“The Belarusian healthcare system is highly regarded in all post-Soviet countries, so it is a great pleasure for us to take part in this forum,” Mikhail Rogal said.

Mikhail Rogal noted that all the fields of healthcare in Belarus are well developed. He stressed the special importance of transplantation. “We are very interested in emergency medical care since it is our field of activity. We are ready to share best practices,” he pointed out.

Mikhail Rogal also noted that such forums always encourage exchange of knowledge and practices among medical workers and scientists. Besides, they promote cooperation and mutual understanding.

The Belarusian capital is hosting the First International Minsk Medical Forum on 5-6 November. Partaking in the forum are leading scientists and doctors from Belarus, Russia, Lithuania, and Canada. They discuss new approaches to prevention of circulatory system diseases and diabetes, development prospects of pediatrics and transplantation in Belarus, and modern approaches to medical staff training.
