VITEBSK, 9 July (BelTA) – The international festival of arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk makes an important contribution to development of the international humanitarian cooperation. The statement is made in a message of greetings from Russia President Vladimir Putin which was read out by Russia’s Deputy Culture Minister Alexander Zhuravsky at the opening ceremony of the 24th international festival of arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk on 9 July, BelTA has learned.
“Dear friends, I cordially congratulate you on the opening of the 24th festival. For many years your festival has been promoting glorious ideas of spiritual unity and mutual enrichment of cultures of fraternal nations, making an important contribution to the development of the international humanitarian cooperation. Its motto “Through art to peace and understanding” is especially relevant today,” the message of greetings from the Russian President reads.
The Slavonic Bazaar has always had an interesting contest program, friendly creative atmosphere, sincere attention to young aspiring artists. I would like to note with pleasure that these good traditions are enhancing. We believe that this year’s festival which has brought together talented artists, singers and composers from various countries will be a bright and spectacular event, a true holiday for the lovers of art,” the message of greetings reads.
“I wish all participants of the festival creative success, its guests good mood and unforgettable meetings,” Vladimir Putin concluded.
