MOSCOW, 30 June (BelTA - TASS) - Mutually beneficial equal-terms integration with Belarus in the Union State is one of the strategic priorities for Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Belarus-Russia Union State.
Vladimir Putin recalled that just over two years ago, Russia and Belarus approved priority areas of further development of the Union State by 2017. According to him, the tasks spelled out in that document have been largely fulfilled. The two countries managed to consolidate positive momentum in the bilateral integration processes. Much has been done in the migration, anti-monopoly, tax and monetary matters, to harmonize the laws and promote humanitarian contacts.
The Russian president also noted that Moscow and Minsk have been effectively implementing the program of concerted action in foreign policy “as it befits the true allies.”
