VLADIVOSTOK, 13 April (BelTA) - Belarusians are a kin nation to the people of Russia's Primorsky Krai due to common historical roots, Governor of Russia’s Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako said as he met with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko in Vladivostok on 13 April, BelTA has learned.
Oleg Kozhemyako emphasized the contribution of the Belarusian head of state to the development of relations between Belarus and Primorsky Krai. The parties are now actively developing economic and cultural cooperation.
“For us, Belarus is a kin nation due to our historical roots. About 30% of the Primorsky Krai population have common roots with Belarus. Primorski Krai was developed by resettlers from Belarus as well,” the governor said.
