MINSK, 1 August (BelTA) – Belarus is fully prepared for the 2nd CIS Games, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko told media after the meeting of the operational coordination center for the 2nd CIS Games, BelTA has learned.
"We are fully prepared. Guests and teams are already arriving. We provide them with everything they need. Athletes will need time to get used to our climatic conditions and will visit the sights," Igor Petrishenko said.
Representatives of all regions of Belarus, the Healthcare Ministry, the Transport Ministry, the Education Ministry and other departments reported on the current stage of preparation for the Games. The country is ready to host a large number of guests during the 2nd CIS Games.
Igor Petrishenko noted that representatives from Tajikistan have already arrived in Belarus. "They visited the places associated with the Great Patriotic War. We will offer our guests many excursion routes," he added.
The 2nd CIS Games in Belarus will be held from 4 to 14 August. Competitions will be held in 20 sports in 11 cities of Belarus.
