MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) - Speaker of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Sardar Ayaz Sadiq shared the details of his talks with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko as he spoke with the media on 20 August, BelTA has learned.
The Pakistani speaker of parliament said that he came to Minsk with a parliamentary delegation comprising representatives of the commission on agriculture, finance and industry. “Our meeting with Aleksandr Lukashenko lasted longer than planned. I have come with warm greetings from the people and leadership of Pakistan,” said Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. “We discussed a wide range of issues, including problematic ones, the solution to which was found immediately during the meeting with the president, including visa issues for students and businessmen of Pakistan.”
“We also discussed agriculture, supplies of Belarusian agricultural machinery, primarily Belarusian tractors that enjoy special success in Pakistan,” he added.
The speaker also shared the following plans: “We also intend to work on opening centers for the sale and maintenance of Belarusian agricultural machinery in Pakistan, as well as to organize expert-level exchanges.
Sardar Ayaz Sadiq expressed the interest to establish supplies of Belarusian furniture to Pakistan.
“Belarusian wood is of very high quality. We are interested in organizing supplies of Belarusian furniture, as well as working out the possibility of establishing joint production facilities in Pakistan,” he said.
