MINSK, 30 June (BelTA) - Belarus plays a constructive role in resolving the conflict in Ukraine, Vice President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Kent Harstedt told reporters in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

"Of course, Belarus plays a very constructive role as a facilitator of the Minsk talks. I think Belarus is doing something very important by trying to promote this dialogue,” said Kent Harstedt.

In his view, the conflict in Ukraine puts Belarus into a difficult situation. Among other things the country has to host tens of thousands of immigrants from Ukraine.

In addition, he noted that the role of the OSCE is also important this process.
