The Union State of Belarus and Russia is a recognizable brand, BelTA learned from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus Alexander Surikov during the press conference held on 2 April on the occasion of the Day of Unity of Peoples of Belarus and Russia.
“It is quite a recognizable brand. Its recognition gets better every year,” said Alexander Surikov.
Referring to various opinion polls, the ambassador noted that from 60% to 70% of the Belarusians approve or would like to maintain brotherly relations with Russia. “The same number of Russians would like to keep brotherly relations with Belarus. And the Union State of Belarus and Russia is the crown of our relations,” he added. All the respondents know what the Union State of Belarus and Russia stands for and what instruments are available for reaching the goals of this integration association.
