VITEBSK, 24 November (BelTA) – Ordinance No.7 on the promotion of entrepreneurship signed by the Belarus president on 23 November will dramatically change the business environment in Belarus, Mikhail Keiserov, director of the small-business incubator Law and Order Legal Group, told BelTA.
According to Mikhail Keiserov, the ordinance clearly demonstrates that the government and the business community are partners. “The document introduces an institution of business self-regulation with minimum interference from the government. Although businessmen shall take more responsibility for their actions, great opportunities open up for developing your own business. The ordinance simplifies administrative procedures for starting a business to a great extent (now you only have to send a notification to the executive committee via the one-stop shop service or the e-service portal), and relaxes fire safety, sanitary, and epidemiological requirements,” Mikhail Keiserov said.
He believes that the ordinance will help create new jobs, attract more investments, and improve the well-being of people. In general, the decree can be described, without exaggeration, as a revolutionary document which will dramatically change the attitudes and business climate in Belarus, he summarized.
