Mikhail Myasnikovich said: “I think there are good prospects of cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union, of which Belarus is a member, and ASEAN countries where Indonesia’s economy is one of the largest and determines the policy of the region to a great extent.”
He said the goal of raising Belarusian-Indonesian trade turnover up to $1 billion by 2018 was ambitious but feasible.
“It is necessary to restart Belarusian-Indonesian relations for a new stage of cooperation. More attention should be paid to innovative and investment cooperation,” the head of the upper chamber of the Belarus parliament was convinced.
