MINSK, 24 February (BelTA) – The Belarusian economy is in need of creative ideas from young people, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said at the presentation of the project 100 Ideas For Belarus on 24 February, BelTA has learned.
“We see that the traditional economy requires revitalization. We need new industries and technological patterns. Not instead of the existing ones but in addition to them. This is why all the ideas in, for example, biotechnology are very promising for us,” Mikhail Myasnikovich noted.
He believes that young people have a great potential. “When I studied the projects presented here, I discovered many things for myself. Our young people come up with unusual solutions even in such areas where it seems nothing new can be said,” he pointed out.
Mikhail Myasnikovich added that the contest 100 Ideas For Belarus features few projects by professional young scientists working at the Belarusian National Academy of Sciences. “Our young scientists can offer many high-level projects,” he believes.
