ULAANBAATAR, 3 June (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko's state visit to Ulaanbaatar is historic, Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh said after the official talks in Ulaanbaatar, BelTA has learned.
The Mongolian leader emphasized that this is the first highest-level visit in the history of bilateral relations. It has a historical special significance, as it opens a new page in the warm and close relations and is aimed at strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh also recalled that back in the days of the Soviet Union representatives of Belarus made a significant contribution to the development of the country, directly participated in the construction of a number of facilities.
“We discussed in detail and exchanged views on the economic projects and programs to enrich our relations. They will undoubtedly contribute to the development of our relations, bring economic benefits to both countries and become a landmark symbol in bilateral relations,” the president of Mongolia said as he summed uo the talks.
