MINSK, 1 August (BelTA) – Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Hi-Tech Park (HTP) on 1 August. He was accompanied by Belarusian Prime Minister Sergei Rumas and HTP Director Vsevolod Yanchevsky, BelTA learned from the HTP.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev was impressed by the growth dynamics of the HTP in recent years. “Our cooperation will embody the technology of the future,” he emphasized.
The parties discussed a possibility to provide advanced training to IT specialists from Uzbekistan. EPAM announced its readiness to run such training programs. LWO suggested introducing a new payment system based on QR codes in Uzbekistan. This system will allow saving on fees charged by international payment systems. “It is encouraging that Uzbekistan is so interested in information technology. We have many decent digital products to offer to our partners. We see that Uzbekistan has made considerable progress in education and pays much attention to digitalization of the domestic economy,” Vsevolod Yanchevsky said.
The HTP administration showed Shavkat Mirziyoyev new solutions developed by Belarusian resident companies. The Uzbekistan leader got particularly interested in the OneSoil solution to monitor the state of soil on farmers’ lands using artificial intelligence.
