MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – Minsk can be compared to Frederic Chopin’s music, Chinese pianist Yundi Li told journalists on 3 March, BelTA has learned.
“It is my first time in Minsk, and I am very glad to be here. The Belarusian capital can be compared to inspiring music. I think that Frederic Chopin’s music would suit this city. On my way to Minsk I saw very beautiful snowy landscapes that inspired me,” Yundi Li said.
The pianist added: “I will be playing Chopin today. His music is amazing and very moving. Besides, he made a great contribution to the development of classical music, his melodies are exceptionally beautiful.”
Every nation has its own style of music interpretation. One can always find cultural particularities in music and its composition. However, if a person wants to be successful, it does not matter what country he or she is from. Yundi Li believes that success can be achieved by working hard and fusing cultural particularities and personal style into music.
Yundi Li will give a concert at the Belarusian State Philharmonics at 19.00 on 3 March.
