MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – Belarus managed to maintain stable operation of its healthcare system throughout 2022, Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich told reporters prior to the final board of the Healthcare Ministry, BelTA has learned.
“We have ensured stable functioning of the healthcare system as a whole and at all its levels - from small districts to national healthcare facilities. From my point of view, our efforts bore fruit by and large,” Dmitry Pinevich said.
He noted that the year 2022 saw the exit from the pandemic. “During the pandemic, we kept providing all types of medical care, but, of course, for one reason or another, the access to some medical services was somewhat limited, thus our number one task was to restore the pre-pandemic volume of medical care, especially top-notch medical services,” the minister added.
According to him, in addition to restoring the volume of medical care, a number of new techniques were developed and put into practice in such areas as fetal surgery, cardiac surgery, cancer treatment, etc.
