MINSK, 4 September (BelTA) – Belarus’ construction sector should expand the range of works and services, Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Kukharev told reporters at the Budpragres 2018 expo on 4 September, BelTA has learned.
“The construction sector should maximize the offering of works and services and to focus on new technology and building materials that not only raise the efficiency of construction, but also make it cheaper,” Vladimir Kukharev said.
The vice premier studied the exhibits showcased at the international civil engineering expo Budpragres 2018. An automobile crane with the lifting capacity of 60 tonnes made by the Belarusian-Chinese joint venture OOO Zoomlion-MAZ was presented at the entrance to the Football Manege. The new automobile cranes are assembled at the Mogilevtransmash premises in Mogilev. The crane can lift 60 tonnes of weight as high as a 20-story building. Visitors were shown other big and small construction and road machinery.
Vladimir Kukharev noted that Budpragres is an important event for the business community. “It gives business people, representatives of development companies, an opportunity to forge new business ties, which facilitates international cooperation and helps introduce new technologies and improve efficiency of construction,” he added.
Taking part in the expo are construction and development companies from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, China, Belgium and other countries. Collective pavilions are presented by companies from China, Poland, Tver Oblast and Novgorod Oblast of Russia. Pavilions are structured into several thematic groups: building and finishing materials; faзade, roofing and insulation; heating, water provision, plumbing, ventilation; windows, doors, gates, staircases, roller doors; interior design and decoration; construction mixes, paints and lacquers; slabs and flexible marble; wooden houses, cottages, saunas and baths; plants and landscaping.
