TALLINN, 30 May (BelTA) - Belarus is a very important partner for Estonia, Estonia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sven Mikser said during a meeting with Belarusian journalists, BelTA has learned.

The minister noted that lately the Belarusian-Estonian cooperation has been gaining a good momentum, especially in the economic field. “Economic cooperation is the most important part of bilateral relations. We see a great potential for cooperation in such areas as logistics and transit. Here both parties, both governments will have some work to do,” he noted

Sven Mikser notd that during his upcoming visit to Minsk on 14 June he intends to discuss the future plans of Belarusian-Estonian cooperation. A wide range of issues will be on the agenda of the talks with Belarus’ Minister for Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei.

The Estonian prime minister is expected to visit Minsk, tentatively in the autumn
