MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian nuclear power plant construction project is open and transparent, Belarus’ Deputy Energy Minister Mikhail Mikhadyuk said in an interview to the Lithuanian newspaper Lietuvos Rytas, BelTA has learned.
In 2008 the BelNPP Information Center was opened in Ostrovets. Over the time the center has been visited by more than 10,000 people, including Lithuanian nationals. Last year the Information Center on Nuclear Power opened its doors in Minsk. In 2015 alone the BelNPP construction site was visited by 70 delegations, including 12 foreign groups of specialists from Hungary, Bangladesh, Egypt, Poland and other countries.
The construction of the plant is also widely covered by the printed and electronic mass media, television. Belarusian and foreign journalists are invited on regular press tours to the Belarusian nuclear power plant.
According to Mikhail Mikhadyuk, the information on the BelNPP construction is in free access online including social networks. All necessary information can be found on the website of the Belarusian Energy Ministry and the website of the nuclear power plant.
“Those who are interested in any information about the plant can get it easily,” the deputy minister stressed.
