TASHKENT, 3 November (BelTA-TASS) – Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has informed the CIS Heads of Government Council on positive momentum in mutual trade.
“This year positive momentum in mutual trade has been noted by everybody. We saw a growth. In H1 2017 the trade in the CIS went up by 25%, with trade with third countries soaring by 27%,” he said speaking at the CIS Heads of Government Council meeting.
The Russian premier added that during the discussion of the issue the CIS heads of government outlined further steps aimed at strengthening these economic successes.
In his words, the CIS is a leading place to develop multipronged cooperation between member states with a fundamental legal framework. “No other international organization we are making part of has such a well-developed legal framework. We should appreciate it. This gives opportunities for searching mutually acceptable decisions, finding compromises,” stressed Dmitry Medvedev.
The CIS Heads of Government Council is taking place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Belarusian delegation is led by Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov.
