MOSCOW, 6 September (BelTA) - Economic development of Russia and Belarus depends on the success of a deeper integration program, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said after the talks with Belarusian Premier Sergei Rumas in Moscow on 6 September, where the parties agreed on the draft program, BelTA has learned.
According to Dmitry Medvedev, before the meeting of the presidents of Belarus and Russia scheduled for early December, the parties have to do a lot of important work. In particular, they need to develop 31 roadmaps for the implementation of the deeper integration program. The list of these roadmaps was also agreed by the prime ministers of the two countries. According to Dmitry Medvedev, they cover virtually all the areas of bilateral cooperation: loan and tax policies, customs regulations, trade and tourism.
“The success of our integration project, the success of the Union State depends on this work to make the economies of our countries closer, to launch a fully-fledged common market so that the citizens of our countries could get the most of it,” the Russian prime minister said.
