MAZ-SPORTavto gearing up for Dakar 2016
MINSK, 23 December (BelTA) – The MAZ-SPORTavto crew is targeting high places at the Dakar 2016 rally, crew captain Valery Kozlovsky told a press conference on 22 December, BelTA informs.
According to Valery Kozlovsky , MAZ-SPORTavto has three crews capable of showing good results in the rally despite all the difficulties they faced in the preparations for their fifth Dakar. The crew captain expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Minsk Automobile Plant and partners for the help.
“Our trucks have already been sent to Argentina. The vehicles are ready. We have done everything possible for a decent performance at the Dakar 2016 rally. Our crew eyes high places in the overall standings,” Valery Kozlovsky stressed. The crew will also comprise Alexander Vasilevsky, Vladimir Vasilevsky and Sergei Vyazovich.
One of the world’s most prestigious rallies will take place in Argentina and Bolivia on 3-16 January. The distance will make up almost 9,000 kilometers. The participants will take their start in Buenos Aires and finish in Rosario.
