MINSK, 21 August (BelTA) – Many participants of NeForum for bloggers have come specially to see Belarus, Director of the Eurasian Communication Center Alexei Pilko, one of the organizers of the international event, told journalists on 21 August, BelTA has learned.
“Special features of this year's edition of the forum include its international format and the participation of users of different social networks. Minsk has given us a warm welcome, and we are happy to be here. Belarusian people are friendly. I think all those who have come to Belarus are of the same opinion. Many bloggers have come specially to see the country,” Alexei Pilko noted.
He stressed that many bloggers have more subscribers than the readership of some regional newspapers. This is why they can call themselves citizen journalists.
Minsk is hosting the fourth edition of NeForum for bloggers and active users of social networks on 21-23 August. The topic of this year’s event is New Opinion Leaders. Partaking in the international forum are top bloggers of the Cyrillic segment of LiveJournal, Instagram, YouTube, and VK and professional journalists. Over 200 participants will share ideas on the development of blogosphere.
