MINSK, 18 April (BelTA) – Belarus sent its proposals on integration promotion to Moscow a long time ago, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said answering a reporter’s questions whether Belarus received Russia’s integration proposals as was announced by Russia’s premier Dmitry Medvedev a day before, BelTA learned.
“We sent our return proposals a long time ago. They are under consideration in Moscow. After these proposals are scrutinized, the working group will scale up efforts to implement our integration promotion concept,” Vladimir Makei said.
In his words, Belarus’ proposals cover the entire spectrum of the bilateral agenda. Vladimir Makei did not go into detail about the content of the proposals saying that “there is no need to jump ahead”.
During the meeting of the presidents of Belarus and Russia in late 2018, an arrangement was reached to set up a joint working group to discuss various aspects of integration and integration-related issues.
