MINSK, 4 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Russia try to resolve existing disagreements and issues in a constructive way, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei told reporters after delivering a report to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, BelTA has learned.
“The President was briefed on a number of matters dealing with our relations with the EU and the Eurasian Economic Union, including the Russian Federation. As you know, the heads of state are set to have a meeting in the near future that will also be attended by representatives of the governments of Belarus and Russia. I think we should wait for the results of these meetings,” the foreign minister informed.
“Taking into consideration that both states are trying to approach existing disagreements and issues constructively, I am convinced that we will be able to iron out some disagreements we have today,” Vladimir Makei said.
