Makei: Belarus, China have similar views on world events
MINSK, 8 April (BelTA) – Belarus and People’s Republic of China have similar views on the events that take place in the world, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei said as he met with China’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi on 8 April, BelTA has learned.
“We almost see eye to eye on world events. We closely cooperate in the Unites Nations Organization, support each other in other international organizations,” Vladimir Makei said.
In his words, Belarus is grateful to China for its support in the international arena. “We will continue our cooperation with China on the issues of China’s interest, will support China in political matters. We are grateful to China for its support of the Belarusian independence and sovereignty,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs noted. Vladimir Makei stressed that Belarus remembers the support China provided during the period of sanctions against Belarus. Apart from that, Belarus highly appreciates China's humanitarian assistance and assistance in recuperation of Belarusian children.
