MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – Belarus and the European Union share common interests in different fields, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Estonia to Belarus Mait Martinson told BelTA as he attended the Belarus President inauguration ceremony on 6 November.
“Naturally, the countries of the European Union and Belarus share common interests. To find more points of contact, we should be more active in discussing problems and establishing ties,” Mait Martinson believes. He praised the level of cooperation in economy, environment, culture, education, and the situation with refugees and forced migrants.
“The more often we meet and exchange opinions, the more common interests we discover. Besides, such meetings help us define the areas where our views may diverge, which is normal,” Mait Martinson noted.
