MINSK, 24 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian President wished young Belarusians to become truly educated people and enrich the national legacy. Alexander Lukashenko made the statement as he attended the New Year charity campaign Our Children on 24 December, BelTA has learned.
The New Year Eve party has brought together the winners and laureates of creative and intellectual competitions, athletes. The President of Belarus congratulated children on these achievements: “We will do everything to help you develop your talent, knowledge and abilities. We will do our best to make you feel needed in your country. This is the main priority,” the head of state stressed.
The President wished young Belarusians to become truly educated and polite people, to enrich the national legacy, and to make the world better and more beautiful. “I am very happy that your efforts help create the beauty of our Belarus. Without you we would have fewer well-groomed places, beautiful parks and very good areas for recreation,” Alexander Lukashenko said. The President recalled that in 2016-2021 Belarus will, first of all, focus on the protection of nature, and the year 2016 will be the Year of Efficient Land Management.
Alexander Lukashenko remarked that as President he would like young Belarusians to be confident in the future, to rely on themselves and to love Belarus. The head of state hopes that in the adult life they will continue good traditions and make their contribution to the prosperity of the Fatherland, help protect peace and accord in the native land.
Young Belarusians fulfill not only the brightest dreams and hopes of their parents, but also the dreams and hopes of the whole country, Alexander Lukashenko believes. “It is great that more and more children are born in Belarus. It means that we can believe that our Homeland will have a happy future,” the President concluded.
