Lukashenko: We will definitely find way out of global security crisis

MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Belarus has been and remains an advocate of peace, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a ceremony to mark the Day of People’s Unity at Minsk Arena on 17 September, BelTA has learned.

“Belarus has been and remains a supporter of peace. Our major peace initiatives are voiced from the rostrum of the United Nations, at international forums. We invite parties to discuss the Eurasian Charter for Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century. You know who does not want this multipolarity. But it can no longer be avoided. This multipolarity is not just around the corner, it is already here. We will definitely find a way out of the global security crisis, since many, many countries of the planet are our closest allies,” the head of state noted.

The president emphasized that attempts to isolate Belarus have failed and will always fail. “More and more people in the world hear and support us. I am absolutely convinced that soon the Western elites will also come to understand that the only way is to sit down at the negotiating table. This is what our peoples want,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.

“We, Belarusians, are a peaceful, hardworking nation. We do not want war. We believe that the day will come when peace will be restored in neighboring states and brothers, close and distant friends will live in harmony and friendship. Belarus is ready to contribute to building peace and is doing everything for this,” the head of state said.
