MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – Belarus President, President of the National Olympic Committee Alexander Lukashenko extended greetings to the national biathlete team of Nadezhda Skardino, Irina Krivko, Dinara Alimbekova and Darya Domracheva on winning the Women’s Relay gold at the 2018 Olympic Games in PyeongChang, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Thank you for this great present to the entire country on the eve of Defender of the Motherland Day. You have realized our life-long dreams by winning Belarus’ first Olympic gold in the most prestigious biathlon race,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
“Girls, you did a truly heroic deed! Each one of you showed your best, demonstrating total dedication, stamina and professionalism,” the president said.
The head of state also congratulated the athletes on the Orders for Personal Courage and on the Honored Master of Sport of Belarus titles bestowed upon Nadezhda Skardino, Irina Krivko and Dinara Alimbekova.
Alexander Lukashenko also expressed his gratitude to the coaching staff and wished everyone strong health and new successes.
