Lukashenko: The West simply cannot wait to get Belarus involved in military conflicts

MINSK, 2 July (BelTA) – The West simply cannot wait to get Belarus involved in military conflicts. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement as he met with Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin on 2 July, BelTA has learned.

During the meeting Aleksandr Lukashenko touched upon matters concerning bilateral cooperation and the situation around Belarus.

“There are a lot of issues. And there are common issues that we need to address. I think you are in the know and see what is going on around Belarus. They just cannot wait to get us involved in conflicts. In order to spread us along this border, make our resistance impossible, and escalate things to a degree the entire world will shudder. A very serious situation. We must not relax under any circumstances,” the head of state stressed.
