ISLAMABAD, 5 October (BelTA) – Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif thanked Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko for his personal contribution to the intensive development of the relations between the two countries, BelTA has learned.
Nawaz Sharif said that the Belarusian President’s visit is a sign of the country’s willingness to develop friendly relations with Pakistan. “I would like to thank you for your contribution to the intensive development of our bilateral cooperation. The exchange of visits at the supreme level has taken the bilateral cooperation to a qualitatively new level,” the PM stressed.
In his words, during the talks with Alexander Lukashenko the parties reached agreements on further development of cooperation in various areas, including industry, agriculture, education, culture, science and technology. “We have signed a joint statement which shows a strong intention of the parties to continue all-round cooperation,” Nawaz Sharif added.
