MINSK, 8 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to participants of and visitors to the 26th international information and communications technology forum TIBO 2019, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Thanks to these annual meetings, Minsk has turned into one of Eastern Europe’s most significant platforms to present the latest in information and communication technology,” the message reads.
The head of state noted that TIBO is the place where dozens of companies from around the world present their cutting-edge technology in artificial intelligence, internet, cloud technology, augmented reality and mobile communication.
“Belarus once pinned its hopes on digitalization of economy, which helped it become a digital bridge between the European Union, the Eurasian Economic Union and Asia Pacific. The Belarusian Hi-Tech Park is constantly growing as it welcomes new resident companies. An increasing number of young people opt for an IT career,” the president said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko is convinced that the exchange of best practices at the TIBO 2019 forum will contribute to promotion of innovative technology in Belarus and abroad.
