MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) - Science will continue to serve the public good and bring tangible benefits to the society, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said in his message of greetings to scientists, workers of research institutes and universities on the occasion of the Belarusian Science Day, BelTA learned from the Belarusian leader’s press service.
“In the modern dynamic world science is the bedrock of a strong and prosperous country,” the head of state emphasized. “Achievements of Belarusian scientists are the pride of our state. Thanks to your research and innovations, new enterprises are set up and new branches of the national economy are developed, unique medical technologies are devised, and food security issues are resolved.”
Alexander Lukashenko also remarked that Belarus has developed a system of supporting talented youth, improved the labor remuneration approaches and ensure the conditions for research and creativity.
