TASHKENT, 8 February (BelTA) - Belarusian quality is made to last for a long time, not just a year, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Tashkent on 8 February, BelTA has learned.
The head of state said that 2024 has been declared the Year of Quality in Belarus. “Belarusian quality lasts long, not just one year,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
Belarus pays special attention to the development and modernization of production facilities. Belarusian products are in great demand in the neighboring markets thanks to their quality.
“We want to make our quality even better. Because Belarusian quality is in demand,” the president said. “People in Russia are used to Belarusian quality as it is our common, Soviet-time quality. We have brought it to a higher level. We will surely improve the quality. Keep in mind that our equipment will be of even higher quality.”
Belarus is ready not only to supply equipment but also to set up local service centers for its maintenance. Belarus has already gained enough of such experience.
“It would be great. When there is aftersales service, farmers show a completely different attitude,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said. “Five out of ten tractors we buy come from Belarus.”
The president of Uzbekistan instructed his delegation to take these issues under special control.
“There should be seven out of ten,” Aleksandr Lukashenko added.
