MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) – Belarus will do its best to promote integration in the Eurasian Economic Union and develop a union of equals, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said during an open dialogue with reporters on 29 January, BelTA has learned.
The head of state stressed that the Eurasian Economic Union is the important integration project that Belarus and its partners developed for years. It went operational on 1 January 2015.
“We must use every opportunity this integration project opens for us,” Alexander Lukashenko said. In his words, during its chairmanship in the EEU, Belarus will do everything possible to strengthen the integration, develop the union of equals free from any exemptions and restrictions.
