Lukashenko: Ordinance No. 3 will be revised if necessary by year-end

MINSK, 22 April (BelTA) – Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko promised to revise Ordinance No. 3 if necessary by the year-end. The head of state made the statement during the nationwide voluntary labor day subbotnik on 18 April, BelTA has learned.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that they are currently monitoring the information, including in the mass media, and concerns about Ordinance No. 3.

The President stressed that when submitting the ordinance for public consideration he took the sentiments of workers into account. “I do not say that the document is ideal. I do not even protect it. We are monitoring the situation. If we have made mistakes, we will correct them. We will tie up loose ends by the end of the year,” the head of state noted.

Alexander Lukashenko said that all people willing to work will have such an opportunity. “If you do not want to work, pay the average tax,” the President said. In his words, there are 8,500 vacancies and 4,500 jobless people in Minsk. “True scroungers should think that tomorrow we will make the next step to make them work,” the head of state added.Alexander Lukashenko during the nationwide voluntary labor day subbotnik
