Lukashenko names Trump winner of US presidential election

MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – During the opening ceremony of a world-class swimming pool in Minsk on 6 November Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko called Donald Trump the winner of the US presidential election, BelTA has learned.

According to the head of state, Belarus respects the history of the socialist movement and has not abandoned it, although there have been different points of view on socialism in the world.

“Today, more and more people are talking about socialism. Yet, I remember, such ideas were denigrated in the mid-1990s ... True, this is still a swear word in America. Trump who has won the presidential election would accuse Kamala Harris of being a socialist and a communist using these words as a slur. Trump is a die-hard capitalist, a billionaire,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko.
