MINSK, 2 August (BelTA) – Mass media outlets should take an active part in covering the country’s harvest campaign, including its positive and negative aspects, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said during the nationwide teleconference held on 2 August to discuss the 2017 harvest campaign, BelTA has learned.
“The media should cover every aspect of the harvest campaign, tell about the best farmers. It is a tribute to the people from rural areas. Shortcomings that were discussed today should also be made public,” noted Alexander Lukashenko.
The president called upon the mass media to start working in this direction immediately. “Television, radio, newspapers, and the Internet – everything should be filled with the news about the harvest campaign,” the president stressed.
