POLOTSK, 8 November (BelTA) – Every Belarusian should visit the city of Polotsk at least once in their lives. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement as he delivered a speech during the Vitebsk Oblast harvest festival Dazhynki 2024 in Polotsk on 8 November, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “A great, generous harvest festival has once again come to the glorious city of Polotsk – a treasury of Belarusian land. Every Belarusian should visit your magnificent museum city where every stone is full of history at least once in their lives.”

The Belarusian leader noted that it was there 1,200 years ago that the Belarusian nation embarked on an arduous, hard road towards a statehood of its own.
