Lukashenko calls to form united front against color revolutions

Lukashenko calls to form united front against color revolutions

MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian state is a reality. It has political clout and solid economic potential, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said in an interview with Belarusian and foreign political observers on 13 November, BelTA has learned.

“Any color revolution makes a country weaker and its people poorer. There have been no examples of people having a better life after such unrest. The main remedy for this trouble is well-known: intensifying and strengthening ties and integration in all formats: bilateral, the EAEU, CIS, CSTO. First of all, I mean cooperation in economy, security, and human contacts,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

According to him, many post-Soviet countries have “woken up and realized that alternative integration projects see us only as donors of raw materials and cheap workforce and as markets for non-essential goods”.

Only harmonized strategic planning, meaningful development of industrial cooperation, and mutual support will help post-Soviet countries overcome pressing problems relatively unscathed and deal with threats to sovereignty, peace, and stability, the Belarusian head of state stressed.

“We should just rally together and present a united front  in the international arena. Only then will our nations be able to remain in control of their own destinies,” Aleksandr Lukashenko added.
