Lukashenko: Belarusians value stability even more amid recent developments in the world

MINSK, 2 April (BelTA) – Belarusians understand that peace is the main priority, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said in an interview with Bloomberg, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.

“Belarusians well understand that the state should be stable and that peace is the main priority. We can buy the rest. We have no resources to be so rich. It is better to be poorer than others, but live in a peaceful country where our children and elderly do not die from shrapnel and bullets,” the head of state noted.

“We should, including me now in power, do our best to keep Belarus sovereign and independent for the next generation of authorities and politicians. We will do it,” the Belarusian leader said.

According to Alexander Lukashenko, Belarusians now value stability and peace even more amid the recent developments in the world and the neighboring countries.
