MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – Belarusians are ready to talk to anyone at any time for the sake of peace in the region. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement at a conference, which was held on 1 March and gathered members of the Security Council and top officials of the Council of Ministers, BelTA has learned.
The head of state stressed that Belarus is doing everything the country can do to help the conflicting sides find contact points in their views and stop bloodshed. “We, Belarusians are ready to talk to anyone at any time more than anyone else, create a thin thread of mutual trust for the sake of one goal – peace in the region,” he stated.
Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “I am glad that during phone calls with Zelenskyy and Putin we’ve managed (it wasn’t easy) to organize these negotiations in the territory of Belarus (a dear land both for Ukraine and Russia) while personally guaranteeing security and providing everything necessary. We look forward to results.”
