ISLAMABAD, 5 October (BelTA) - The Belarus-Pakistan investment cooperation has good prospects, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the opening of the 4th Belarus-Pakistan Business and investment Forum in Islamabad on 5 October, BelTA has learned.
“Addressing the participants of this forum I invite Pakistani businessmen to invest in lucrative projects in Belarus. I am sure that such cooperation has good prospects,” Alexander Lukashenko underlined.
The head of state pointed out that Belarus offers a number of preferences that foreign companies can benefit from. “In terms of tax planning and optimization, the preferences include special preferential terms for starting a business in six free economic zones. Foreign companies can also get additional benefits, lower their investment costs and tax burden by investing in our small and medium-sized cities,” the President said.
Alexander Lukashenko also spoke about the active construction of the Chinese-Belarusian industrial park Great Stone near Minsk. Companies from different countries are willing to participate in this international project. The President drew special attention to transportation and logistics opportunities of Belarus, the ‘pinpoint’ privatization policy and high-skilled human resources of Belarus.
